The largest city in Michigan, Detroit has long been known as the center of the U.S. Auto industry and the home of Motown. The city’s diverse population made Detroit a major force in the music industry, with Detroit musicians influencing genres as diverse as jazz, rock, punk, hip-hop and the blues.
