ABOUT THE DALLAS AREA
The largest city in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Dallas is a cosmopolitan mix of high-end shopping, restaurants, sports, and the performing arts. The home to great sports, world-class museums and galleries, large zoos, gardens, and aquariums, and other attractions. There are also many colleges and corporate campuses in the area. The center of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Dallas has access to two major airports: Dallas Love Field (DAL) and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). Dallas’ continental positioning results in hot, humid summers, with July and August reaching highs of 96℉. During the summer the city may experience extreme weather, including hailstorms, tornadoes, and thunderstorms. Winters are mild to cool, with average highs of 56.8℉ in January. Spring and summer have moderate temperatures, with spring bringing an abundance of wildflowers.
